BBC - Not For Me
I tire of the BBC's obsession with British Politicians and their post political correctness faux paternalism.
I tire of it more than I tire of the politics.
I tire of the ever more showbiz charity appeals smattered with mock sincerity exploiting real concern.
I tire of the self promotion.
I tire of the conceit.
I tire of the fact that every spare hertz on the Frequency Modulation is colonised by their national and local trumpets.
I tire of the lack of public freedom of the airwaves.
I tire of the lack of balance and the excess of focus on what I can only call a propaganda drive.
I tire of the fact that there is no real alternative that is not mediocrity personified.
The real suffering and dying of the world have no true voice through them.
The real victims of AIDS, civil war, genocide, murder, state terror, tyranny, religious persecution, bigotry are not championed with true honour or vindication by them at all.
They are not objective.
They are not critical.
They do not question the status quo in any way at all.
They are not a force for change or progress.
The time for their middle class Oxbridge educated innovation came and went, but now they have no credibility as a whole.
Just as the English are unpopular all over the world, in an international context the BBC is seen as the voice that complements that unpopularity. They do us the British no good at home, and they prepare our unpopularity ahead of us overseas.
What a shame. There is so much that is good in this British Isles. And it would be lost to the world and to ourselves.

The Government aren't Really going to not Spy on the Roads, are they?
But do not be lulled into a false sense of privacy. What I really dislike about the current government, is its determination to do everything it wants while making us believe it is doing the opposite. For every move they make these days, look for the technology companies looking to make big profits from the tax payer and deliver another layer of invasiness and control on our public lives. WE MUST NOT SLEEP WALK ANY MORE INTO A REMOTE CONTROLLED SOCIETY.

Why berate a Father doing his damnedest?
Is it that this family clearly have lived through times considered here as privileged. Harrow, Cambridge, champagne and society parties. One second the social pages of the Evening Standard will feature the photographs and celebrate, the next second it all corruption, nepotism, and shame. Seems its what the press want it to be at what time suits them.
Is there really outrage at all this? I don't believe so, its just a story. The Conways were taken care of by their father, and for once the money that usually goes into civil servants pensions, or sending other people's kids abroad into danger without the proper equipment or training, or to politically dreamt up IT Projects doomed to fail, went with all paternal haste to a family in need of a future. It was money that didn't vanish into the great bureaucratic wasteland and vanishing trick that is British Government. In 1 way I kind of applaud that.
Did this man lose millions of peoples benefit details, driver details, military personnel details? No. The state, our great greedy British state, did all those things. He gave his family some money.
What is wrong is the way our country nurtures exclusivity, while playing privilege for all to our faces, an oxymoron which the public mostly seems to swallow without chewing.
Perhaps the Standard is the most appropriate double edged sword of a name for a paper in this fishbowl.

Sweeney Todd The Brownie
Tim Burton and Johnnie Depp done themselves proud again with their new release, ably aided and abetted by Helena Bonham Carter. Sweeney Todd: the Demon Barber of Fleet Street is due for general release in the UK 25th January, but not to be upstaged by the Hollywood Dream Machine Dr. Gordon Brown has ideas of his own for all our body parts.
Yes. MR. Brown has decided not only should we pay all our earnings to the government, smokers pay tax to the NHS, drinkers and drivers too, but they own our body parts also whether we choose it or not. Don't be fooled. What starts as an option will eventually become compulsory, and once we are all criminalised by the plethora of laws they have passed in their short but oh too long 10 years, they will be able to match DNA files up for candidates to keep themselves alive forever. And if they don't need them, there's always someone who will arrive, plead poverty and oppression, get GIVEN a nice big house some of you might may have been waiting for for years, and then help themselves to you heart, lungs, and liver, maybe once you're deal if you are lucky, under the NHS you have been paying taxes for for years, but couldn't get an appointment under for your by now chronic condition.
Hey, I have a preventative proposition of my own:
TELL THE LUNE-POTS RUNNING OUR LIVES RAGGED NOW TO GO FUCK OFF.
Soon to come: The New Labour remake of THE BODY SNATCHERS.
Be afraid, BE VERY AFRAID.
